This picture illustrates what sama-drishti (=equal regard) is, as was explained in the Geetha. It says,
"The learned always look upon with equal regard everything, be it a learned Braahmana, a sacred cow, an alephant,a dog or a dog-eater."
Equality of this standard was taught in the most revered teaching of India. Yet, a system of
discrimination among people per caste took roots in this country. Maybe, due to the seperation of thought and social order for a long period.
